The Watermark at Raincross Lobby, Dining & Common Space Renovation – Riverside, CA

A

t The Watermark at Raincross, Goebel Design Group led a complete refresh of the community’s main lobby, multipurpose room, dining room, and lounge—spaces that hadn’t seen a major update since the early 2000s. The design challenge was to transform dark, dated interiors into bright, inviting, and durable environments that reflect contemporary senior living standards.

The renovation included a new custom front desk and fireplace redesign, along with all-new furnishings, finishes, lighting, and layout improvements. Each space was re-envisioned to bring in more natural light, improve flow, and create a sense of warmth and hospitality. Cleanable surfaces, soft textures, and a lighter palette now balance practicality with comfort, offering residents and their guests a renewed sense of welcome from the moment they arrive.

The result is a cohesive and uplifting common space experience—fresh, functional, and designed to last.
